The year is 1888, and pretty Marisa Waters has obtained a school teacher position in the town of Bitter Creek, in the Wyoming territory. Travelling the last 250 miles of her long journey by stagecoach, she makes less than a favourable impression with the driver, and her temper is frayed when she finally reaches her destination only to find the hotel does not have a room for her.
